What this chair cover is

The Smooth Stretch Club Chair Cover is a knit slipcover made from 100% polyester. The fabric has a soft stretch and a smooth matte finish, so it sits close to the chair without looking bulky. An anti-slip backing helps hold the cover in place through daily use. It is not waterproof, so treat it as a soft cover for everyday wear rather than a barrier against spills.

This cover is made for club chairs and barrel chairs. It pulls over the back, arms and seat, then tucks in around the cushions for a neat fit. If you want to refresh a chair that has seen better days, or change the look of a room without replacing furniture, this is a simple way to do it.

Sizes and fit

One cover fits one chair. Check your chair before you order.

Measure the widest point across the arms, then measure from the front of the seat to the back. If your chair falls inside both ranges, this cover should fit. Club chairs and barrel chairs have rounded backs and low arms, and the stretch knit follows those curves.

If your chair is wider than 31.5 in (80 cm) or has a seat deeper than 22.1 in (56 cm), this cover will be too tight. A larger sofa cover may suit better.

How to put it on

1. Start with the chair upright and the seat cushion in place.
2. Slip the cover over the back of the chair first, then pull it down over the arms.
3. Work the fabric down to the seat and smooth it with your hands.
4. Tuck the extra fabric into the gap between the seat and the arms, and along the back.
5. Smooth out any wrinkles and check that the anti-slip backing sits flat against the chair.

The knit stretches as you pull, so take your time and adjust in small steps. Once the cover is on, it should look smooth and stay in place during normal sitting. If it shifts, lift the edge and tuck it in again.

Care and washing

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Use a mild detergent and avoid bleach. After washing, air dry the cover. Do not put it in a dryer, because heat can damage the stretch knit and the anti-slip backing. When the cover is dry, put it back on the chair and smooth it into place.

For light dust or crumbs, a quick shake or a pass with a soft brush is often enough. Wash when the cover looks dull or feels soiled. Because the fabric is not waterproof, blot spills right away with a clean cloth and cold water, then wash as normal.
