The Corn-Grain Waterproof Chair Cover

What it is and how it feels

This is a single stretch slipcover made for one armchair. The fabric is a knit jacquard in spandex and polyester, with a woven corn-grain pattern that gives it a quiet, raised texture. It feels soft in the hand and has enough give to pull over arms and back without fighting you.

The knit is water-repellent and breathable, so a spill beads up instead of soaking straight through, and air still moves through the fabric. That makes it a practical layer for a chair that sees daily use in a living room, bedroom or home office.

Sizes and fit

The cover is cut for standard armchairs. Check your chair against these ranges before you order:

One cover fits one armchair. If your chair sits inside these ranges, the stretch knit takes up the small differences. Measure first if your chair is close to the edge of a range.

Colors

There are 22 colors to choose from: Pink, Khaki, Medium gray, Camel, Dark gray, Dark blue, White, Dark coffee, Black, Lake blue, Light coffee, Fruit green, Purple, Wine red, Pine green, Orange, Blue, Sky blue, Light gray, Golden yellow, Beige and Apricot.

The neutrals, White, Beige, Light gray, Medium gray, Dark gray and Black, blend into most rooms. Camel, Light coffee and Dark coffee warm up a space. Lake blue, Sky blue and Dark blue cool it down. Fruit green, Pine green and Orange add a clear pop of color. Wine red and Purple lean rich and deep.

How to put it on

Start with the chair back. Pull the cover down over the top and work it toward the seat, then stretch it over each arm. Smooth the fabric from the center outward so the corn-grain pattern sits evenly. Tuck the excess into the gap between the seat and the arms, and press it down along the back and sides.

The stretch knit holds itself in place once it is tucked, so you do not need to keep adjusting it through the day.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Skip the dryer to protect the stretch and the water-repellent finish. Wash it on its own or with similar colors the first few times.
