The Ribbed Stretch Recliner Cover

What it is

The Ribbed Stretch Recliner Cover is a four piece set that covers a recliner section by section. You get single-piece for the back, one for the front, and one for each arm. The fabric is a stretch polyester jacquard at about 350 gsm, with a soft ribbed knit and a matte finish. It has a quiet, woven look that sits close to the chair instead of hanging loose.

Because the cover comes apart into four pieces, it moves with the recliner. The back and front panels stretch over their own sections, and the arm pieces wrap the sides. This is different from a single-piece slipcover, which can pull tight when the footrest goes up. Here, each part stays on its own section.

Sizes and fit

The cover fits most standard recliners. Measure your chair before you order, using the guide below.

Measure the widest point at the back of the chair, the full depth from front to back, and the height from the floor to the top of the back. If your recliner falls inside these ranges, the stretch knit should pull on with a snug fit. If it falls outside, the cover may be too tight or too loose.

Colors

The set comes in four colors:

• Beige, a warm neutral that blends with light rooms
• Brown, a deeper earth tone
• Dark Gray, a cool mid tone that hides everyday marks
• Green, a soft muted shade

All four use the same ribbed jacquard fabric, so the choice is about how the chair sits in your room. Dark Gray and Brown are the easiest to keep looking clean in a busy space. Beige and Green read lighter and softer.

How to put it on

Fit each piece to its matching section. Start with the back piece and pull it down over the backrest. Then fit the front piece over the seat and footrest area. Finish with the left and right arm pieces, one at a time.

Work the fabric down with both hands so the ribbed knit spreads evenly. Tuck any extra fabric into the gaps between the seat and the arms. Check that the seams line up with the edges of the chair. When you recline, the pieces should stay in place on their own sections. If a piece shifts, lift it and reset it rather than pulling hard on one corner.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Do not bleach. Do not iron. Wash the four pieces together so the color stays even. Turn them inside out before washing to protect the matte finish. Air drying keeps the stretch in the knit, so skip the dryer when you can. Most light marks come out with a cold gentle wash.

Good to know

The four pieces cover the recliner separately, so each part must be fitted on its matching section. The set is not waterproof. If you have a two seat or three seat sofa instead, this set is sized for a single recliner chair.
