The Leaf Jacquard Recliner Slipcover

What it is and how it feels

The Leaf Jacquard Recliner Slipcover is a four piece set made for recliner chairs. Each set includes a back piece, a front piece, a left arm piece and a right arm piece. Because the pieces are separate, the cover follows the shape of your chair instead of pulling against it.

The fabric is a stretch polyester jacquard at about 350 gsm. It has a brushed knit feel with a woven leaf pattern that sits slightly raised on the surface. The knit gives it stretch in both directions, so it moves with the chair when you recline. An anti-slip backing helps hold the cover in place on the seat and arms.

This cover is not waterproof. It is made for everyday use in a living room, den or bedroom, where it protects the chair from crumbs, pet hair and daily wear.

Sizes and fit

The cover is made in one size that fits most standard recliner chairs. Check your chair against these measurements before you order.

Measure the widest point of your chair for width, from the floor to the top of the back for height, and along the front and side panels for length. If your chair sits near the top of a range, the stretch knit still has room to give. If it falls outside these ranges, the cover may not sit smoothly.

Colors and pattern

There are ten color options, split between the leaf jacquard pattern and a plain knit look.

Leaf pattern colors: Light gray leaf, Cream leaf, Taupe leaf, Dark coffee, Dark gray leaf.

Knit colors: Khaki, Black, Light gray knit, Beige knit, Dark gray knit.

The leaf options show the woven pattern across the whole cover. The knit options keep the same brushed stretch fabric in a solid tone. Both work with recliners in fabric or leather, and both pair well with neutral living room palettes.

How to put it on

Fit the cover with the chair upright and the footrest closed. Start with the back piece and pull it down over the top of the chair, then work it down the back. Add the left and right arm pieces next, smoothing each one from the top of the arm to the base. Finish with the front piece, tucking the edges in along the seat and sides.

Once all four pieces are on, smooth the fabric with your hands and press the anti-slip backing into place. Sit in the chair and open the recliner to check that the cover follows the mechanism without pulling. Adjust any loose sections while the chair is open, then close it and smooth the fabric again.

Care

Machine wash the cover at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Air dry it flat or hang it, and avoid a tumble dryer. Wash the four pieces together so the color stays even. Most light marks come out with a damp cloth between washes.

Good to know

This is a four piece set, not a single-piece slipcover. The pieces are designed to be fitted separately, which gives a closer fit around the arms and back. The cover is not waterproof, so wipe up spills promptly. The anti-slip backing works best on a clean, dry chair surface.
