What it is and how it feels

The Tuck-In Chenille Couch Cover is a rectangular cover made from polyester chenille in a twill weave. The surface has a soft matte hand and a fine diagonal twill texture you can see up close. It is a simple, solid piece that sits over your couch and gives it a clean, quiet look.

This is not a waterproof cover and it has no anti-slip backing. It stays in place by resting on the couch and by the weight of the fabric. If your cushions are smooth or your couch gets a lot of movement, tuck the edges in where you can.

Sizes

Measure your couch arm to arm, then pick the size closest to that number. The cover fits sofas 28 to 110 in (70 to 280 cm) wide, depending on the size chosen. Sizes run from 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) up to 43 x 110 in (110 x 280 cm).

A note on the numbers: the size names use rounded inches, and the brackets show the metric value. The 28 x 28 in size is listed as 27.5 x 27.5 in in the options, and the 28 x 83 in size is listed as 27.5 x 82.5 in. Pick the option that matches your couch width and check the metric value if you are between sizes.

Colors

Five solid colors are available:

• Beige, a warm light neutral
• Dark gray, a deep cool gray
• Light gray, a soft pale gray
• Brown, a rich earthy tone
• Khaki, a muted green-brown

All five are the same chenille twill fabric. The matte finish means the color reads soft rather than shiny, so it blends with most rooms.

How to fit and use it

Lay the cover over the couch and spread it out from the back to the front. Let it fall over the arms and the back if you want full coverage, or fold it to fit just the seat. Smooth the fabric with your hands, then tuck the edges into the gaps between the cushions and the frame. This keeps the cover neat and stops it from sliding when people sit down.

Because there is no anti-slip backing, a few small tucks do more for the fit than pulling the fabric tight. For an L-shaped sofa or a modular sofa, use one cover per section and match the sizes to each part. The cover also works on a loveseat or an accent chair if you choose a size that matches the width.

One cover fits one couch. If you want to cover two couches, order two.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Then tumble dry low or line dry. Wash it on its own or with similar colors the first few times. Do not bleach and do not iron on high heat. The twill weave holds its texture well through regular washing, and the matte finish stays soft.
