What this couch cover is

The Chenille Non-Slip Sofa Cover is a rectangular throw-style cover made from polyester chenille in a twill weave. The fabric is thick and soft, with a matte finish that reads quiet and lived-in rather than shiny. Decorative stitching runs along the edges and gives the cover a finished look on the arm of a sofa or the back of a chair.

The back is treated with a non-slip finish, so the cover grips the upholstery underneath instead of sliding off every time someone sits down. This is the main difference between this cover and a plain throw blanket used as a sofa cover.

It is not waterproof. Treat it as a soft, washable layer that protects against daily wear, pet hair and crumbs, not as a barrier against spills.

Sizes and how to choose one

Sizes are the cover's flat measurements, not the sofa's. Measure the area you want to cover, then pick the closest size. If you are between two sizes, size up for more drape or size down for a tighter look.

Across the full range, the covers fit sofas from 28 to 94 in (70 to 240 cm) wide, arm to arm, depending on the size you choose. The same cover works on an L-shaped sectional, an accent chair, a loveseat, a standard sofa or a modular sofa. A 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) size suits a chair seat or a single cushion area. The 43 x 94 in (110 x 240 cm) size covers a wide three-seat sofa with room to tuck.

Colors

Five colors are available: Brown, Beige, Khaki, Dark gray and Light gray. Brown and Khaki lean warm and pair well with wood floors and leather. Beige is the lightest neutral and brightens a dark room. Dark gray and Light gray are cool neutrals that sit quietly against most upholstery. All five share the same thick chenille texture and matte finish.

How to fit and use it

Lay the cover over the sofa with the non-slip side down. Center it so the same amount of fabric hangs on each side. Smooth it from the back toward the front, then press the non-slip backing against the seat and arms. Tuck the excess into the crease between the seat and the back, and between the seat and the arms. The grip builds as the fabric settles, so give it a few minutes and a few sits before you judge the fit.

On an L-shaped or modular sofa, use one cover per section for the cleanest look, or overlap two covers along the corner. On an accent chair, a 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) or 35 x 35 in (90 x 90 cm) size usually covers the seat and part of the back.

Shake the cover out once a week to keep dust and crumbs from working into the pile. Rotate it front to back now and then so wear stays even.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Air dry. Do not wring or twist the fabric, and do not pull it while wet, since chenille pile can stretch when soaked. Once dry, smooth the cover back over the sofa and tuck it in again. Loose pet hair lifts off more easily after a wash and a good shake.
