The Velvet Curve Dining Chair Cover is a single stretch slipcover for a low back dining chair. The fabric is a polyester and spandex velvet, about 180 gsm, with a soft hand and a slight sheen that catches the light across the seat and back. The stretch lets it pull tight over curved and straight chair backs without sagging, and the plain dyed finish keeps the look quiet so it works with most tables and rooms.
This is a cover for everyday use, not a loose drape. It goes on over the existing upholstery, so a worn or mismatched chair reads as one set again. Each order includes one cover, and one cover fits one chair, so count your chairs before you choose a quantity.
The cover is made to fit standard dining chairs within the ranges below. Measure your chair before ordering, since the stretch has limits.
| Measurement | Fits |
|---|---|
| Chair width | 18.9-21.7 in (48-55 cm) |
| Back height | 15.7-17.7 in (40-45 cm) |
| Seat length | 15.7-17.7 in (40-45 cm) |
A chair inside these ranges will take the cover with a snug fit. If your chair is wider or taller than the top of the range, the fabric will pull and the seams may strain. Low back and curved back dining chairs are the best match. Straight leg frames are fine, since the cover stops at the seat and does not wrap the legs.
Ten colors are available: dark green, dark gray, pink, khaki, light gray, light beige, navy blue, camel, black and beige white. The velvet takes dye evenly, so each color reads deep and solid rather than washed out.
For a matched dining set, pick one color for every chair. For a mixed look, pair two colors from the same family, such as light gray and dark gray, or camel and beige white. Dark green, navy blue and black hide small marks best in a busy dining room. Light beige and beige white keep a small room feeling open.
Start with the chair back. Slip the cover over the top and work it down, easing the fabric around the corners with both hands. Pull the seat section forward and smooth it flat from the back of the seat to the front edge. Tuck any extra fabric along the sides and back of the seat so the lines stay straight.
Once it is on, run a hand over the surface to settle the velvet. The spandex blend holds its shape, so the cover stays in place through meals and gets easier to fit after the first wash. To remove it, lift the front edge of the seat section and roll the cover up and off the back.
Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Do not bleach. Iron on low heat if needed, though the velvet usually smooths out on its own once it is back on the chair. Wash covers from one set together so the colors age at the same rate.
It fits chairs 18.9-21.7 in (48-55 cm) wide, with a back 15.7-17.7 in (40-45 cm) high and a seat 15.7-17.7 in (40-45 cm) long. Measure your chair before ordering, since the stretch has limits.
One cover comes in the box, and one cover fits one chair. If you have four chairs, order four covers.
Yes. Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, then tumble dry low. Do not bleach, and iron on low heat only if needed.
No. The cover fits over the back and seat of the chair and stops at the seat, so the legs stay visible.
