The Checkered Jacquard Dining Chair Cover

What it is and how it feels

This is a stretch dining chair cover made from 100 percent polyester jacquard knit. The fabric has a soft hand and a small checkered jacquard pattern woven into the surface, so it adds quiet texture without shouting. It is a solid color cover with a subtle grid effect, which makes it easy to pair with wood, glass or metal dining tables.

The knit stretches in all directions, so the cover pulls over the back and seat and stays in place through everyday meals. It is a simple way to refresh dining chairs, protect them from crumbs and spills, or tie mismatched chairs together into one look.

Fit and size

The cover is designed for dining chairs with a back height up to 24 in (60 cm). That covers most standard dining chairs, including parsons chairs and many armless styles.

One cover fits one chair, so order the number of covers that matches your chair count. If your chair back is taller than 24 in (60 cm), this cover will not fit.

Colors

Choose from four solid shades:

• Light taupe: a warm neutral that blends with wood tones
• White: a clean, bright look for light rooms
• Teal: a deeper blue-green that adds color without being loud
• Gray: a soft mid-tone that works with most palettes

Because the pattern is small and tonal, each color reads as a solid from across the room and shows its checkered texture up close.

How to put it on

Start by slipping the cover over the back of the chair and pulling it down toward the seat. Work the fabric over the seat and around the legs, then smooth the knit with your hands so the pattern sits straight. The stretch does the rest.

For a neat result, tuck any extra fabric along the seat edge and press it flat. When you swap colors or wash the cover, take it off the same way: lift the back edge and roll the fabric upward.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Skip the dryer to keep the knit shape and the checkered pattern crisp. Wash covers of different colors separately the first time. Most food crumbs and light spills wipe off the surface with a damp cloth between washes.
