What it is

This is a square pillow cover made from woven velvet fabric. The weave gives the surface a soft hand and a slight sheen that shifts with the light. It is a solid color piece with no print, which makes it easy to pair with patterned throws and other pillows on a couch, chair or bed.

Each pack contains 1 pillow cover. One cover fits one pillow insert. The insert is not included, so you can use a pillow you already own or pick the fill you prefer.

Sizes

The cover comes in three square sizes. Check your insert before you order, then match it to the size below.

Cover size	Fits pillow
16 x 16 in (40 x 40 cm)	16 x 16 in (40 x 40 cm) pillow
18 x 18 in (45 x 45 cm)	18 x 18 in (45 x 45 cm) pillow
20 x 20 in (50 x 50 cm)	20 x 20 in (50 x 50 cm) pillow

Colors

There are 16 colors to choose from: Yellow, Lemon yellow, Wine red, Teal, White, Dark brown, Navy blue, Light gray, Black, Light green, Peacock blue, Light blue, Light purple, Dark gray, Rose red and Purple.

Neutrals like White, Light gray, Dark gray and Black work as a base on a sofa or bed. Wine red, Rose red and Purple add depth to a room with warm wood tones. Teal, Peacock blue and Light blue suit cool palettes, and Yellow, Lemon yellow and Light green bring a brighter note to a plain couch. You can mix sizes and colors across a seating area for a layered look.

How to use it

This cover suits a living room sofa, an armchair, a bed or a bench. It also works in a car or on a seat that needs a softer surface.

To fit it, fold your insert in half. Push the folded insert into the cover, then work the corners of the insert into the corners of the cover. Shake the pillow to settle the fill. Fluff the corners by hand so they sit full.

A 20 x 20 in (50 x 50 cm) cover reads well as a single accent on a chair. For a sofa, pair two 18 x 18 in (45 x 45 cm) covers with a throw blanket, or use a 16 x 16 in (40 x 40 cm) cover in front of a larger pillow for a layered arrangement.

Care

Machine wash or hand wash the cover. For machine washing, use a gentle cycle with cold water and a mild detergent. Wash it with like colors.

For hand washing, use cool water and press the cover gently. Do not wring or twist it. After washing, reshape the cover and lay it flat to dry, or hang it in the shade. A low tumble dry setting is fine if you prefer. Velvet can show marks from pressure, so smooth the nap with your hand after washing.
