This is a pillow cover made from 100% mulberry silk in a tatting weave. The surface is smooth and carries a soft glossy sheen that catches light across the pillow. It is a single cover, not a set, and one cover fits one pillow.
The silk is the only material in the cover. There is no printing on the fabric, so the color comes through clean and even across the whole surface. It is made for use on a bed, and it also works on a couch or reading chair when you want a cooler, dressier pillow on top of the everyday ones.
Two sizes are available. Measure your pillow before you pick, since silk has little stretch and a close fit matters.
| Size | Fits |
|---|---|
| 20 x 26 in (19.5 x 26 in) | Standard and queen pillows |
| 20 x 30 in (20 x 30 in) | King pillows |
The first size is listed at 19.5 x 26 in, so it sits slightly snug on a standard pillow. The second is a true 20 x 30 in for king pillows. If your pillow is between sizes, size up rather than down.
Six colors are offered:
All six share the same weave and the same sheen. The lighter colors show the gloss most, while Dark gray keeps a quieter look.
Slide your pillow into the cover and settle the corners first, then smooth the middle. Silk has a slick hand, so a pillow that is slightly underfilled will let the cover lie flatter. On a bed, this cover sits well as the top pillow over cotton or linen shams. On a couch, it adds a smooth accent pillow that feels cool against the skin.
Because the fabric is smooth, it does not grab at hair the way some rougher weaves can. That makes it a common pick for a pillow you actually sleep on, not just one you look at. If you use it on a throw pillow, keep in mind that one cover fits one pillow, so order the number of covers that matches the number of pillows you want to dress.
Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Skip the dryer. A gentle cycle and air drying keep the tatting weave and the glossy finish in good shape over time.
Wash colors separately the first few times, especially Dark gray and Blue, since deeper dyes can release a little color early on. Turn the cover inside out before washing to protect the face of the fabric. Air dry flat or hang it in the shade, then smooth it by hand while it is still slightly damp. A cool iron on the reverse side can take out any creases if you want a crisp look.
It is one cover. One cover fits one pillow, so order the number of covers that matches the number of pillows you want to cover.
