The Marble Print Velvet Sectional Cover

What this cover is

This is a single stretch cover for one section of a sectional couch. The fabric is knit polyester velvet, about 200 gsm, with a soft hand and a subtle sheen that shifts with the light.

Because it is sold by the section, it suits L shaped couches, modular sofas and standard sofas alike. Order one cover for each cushion or section you want to cover. Each cover comes with four foam sticks that tuck into the gaps and hold the fabric in place.

The seller notes list this as anti-slip. The foam sticks help anchor the cover at the seams so it stays put through daily sitting.

Sizes

Each cover fits one cushion or one sofa section. Measure the section you want to cover, arm to arm, and match it to a size below. The size range runs from 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm) to 43 x 94 in (110 x 240 cm).

A note on the numbers: the inch figure is the working measurement, and the metric value in brackets is the converted equivalent. If your section sits between two sizes, size up. The velvet stretches, so a slightly larger cover tucks in more easily than a tight one.

Colors

Six colors are available: Light grey, Blue, White, Light green, Black and Khaki. Light grey and White keep a room bright and quiet. Blue and Light green add a cooler tone. Black and Khaki ground a warmer room.

If you are covering a full sectional, order all sections in the same color at once so the dye lot matches.

Fitting an L shaped couch

Work one section at a time. Start at the back of the cushion, pull the cover over the top, then bring it down over the front and sides. Push the extra fabric into the seat gap. Take a foam stick and slide it into the crease between the back and the seat. Repeat at the front and sides where the cover meets the frame.

For a chaise, order the side as you face the couch. If the chaise is on your left when you stand in front of the sofa, choose left. If it is on your right, choose right. This matters most on L shaped couches, where the chaise section is longer than the rest.

On a modular sofa, treat each module as its own section and order a cover for each. On a standard sofa, one cover per cushion gives the tidiest result. The seller notes confirm one cover fits one cushion or one sofa section, so count your sections before you order.

Care

Machine wash at 30°C (86°F) on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low. Wash covers of the same color together, and turn them inside out first to protect the print. Skip bleach and high heat, which dull the velvet sheen.

Velvet holds lint, so a quick pass with a soft brush between washes keeps the surface even. The knit polyester is not waterproof, so blot spills right away rather than letting them sit.
