Cool, smooth and very stretchy
Milk silk is a brushed polyester knit with 5% elastane, smooth and cool against the skin, with a soft matte look. It stretches further than any of our other cushion covers, so each size covers a wide range of cushion lengths. At about 140 gsm it's light enough for summer, and it doesn't trap heat the way a velvet or a thick jacquard can.
The photos show it on wicker patio cushions as well as an indoor sectional. Outdoors, bring the covers in when it rains, since the fabric isn't made for wet weather, and long hours of strong sun fade any fabric over time.
Which size fits your cushion
Measure the cushion's length across the front, its depth from front to back and its height. The chart lists standard sizes for cushions up to 26 in (65 cm) deep and deep sizes for cushions up to 37 in (95 cm) deep. Every size is drawn for thick cushions, 7.5 to 8.5 in (19 to 22 cm) from top to bottom.

The ranges overlap because the fabric stretches so far. When two sizes both fit, choose the one where your cushion's length sits closer to the middle of the range: the cover will sit smoother and hold its shape longer.
Colors
The 8 colors are Taupe, Light Gray, Charcoal, Blush, Turquoise, Forest Green, Red and Burgundy. Taupe, Light Gray and Charcoal suit most couches; Turquoise, Red and Forest Green work well outdoors against wicker and wood. The smooth surface shows each color evenly, with only a faint sheen.
Putting it on
Hook the cover over the two front corners, then stretch it around the back corners and let the elastic close underneath. Smooth the top from the middle to the sides. Thick cushions are easier to fit with the cushion standing on its back edge.
Care
Hand wash, or machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, without bleach or fabric softener, then air dry. It dries quickly, so you can wash a cover in the morning and have it back on by the afternoon.

Why do the size ranges overlap?
Milk silk stretches a long way, so the maker lists wide ranges that overlap. If your cushion fits two sizes, choose the one where your length sits closer to the middle of the range, and the cover will sit smoother.
Can I use it on patio cushions?
Yes, on cushions that lift out and are about 7.5 to 8.5 in (19 to 22 cm) thick. Bring the covers in when it rains, since the fabric isn't made for wet weather, and long hours of strong sun fade any fabric.
Will it fit thin cushions?
The chart is drawn for cushions 7.5 to 8.5 in (19 to 22 cm) thick. On a much thinner cushion the cover can bunch at the sides; our other cushion covers take cushions from 2 in (5 cm) thick.
