Soft, warm velvet flannel
The top is a short-pile velvet flannel that feels warm and soft under the hand, the sort of surface a dog settles into for the afternoon. It's quilted in rounded squares, which keeps the cover flat on the seat and gives it a neat, tailored look. Because the pile is short and dense, fur sits on top instead of weaving in, so a lint roller or a damp rubber glove lifts it off.
The back is covered in small non-slip particles that grip the seat and stop the cover from bunching up when a dog climbs on and off.

Choose the width for your seat depth plus about 6 in (15 cm): 28 in (70 cm) for most seats and 35 in (90 cm) for deep seats. Then choose the length closest to your seat width, arm to arm. The square 43 x 43 in (110 x 110 cm) size suits an oversized chair or covers a seat and its back cushion together.
Colors
Eight colors: Light Gray, Dark Gray, Cream, Camel, Taupe, Mocha, Burgundy and Ocean Blue. Light Gray and Cream suit white and light sofas, Dark Gray, Taupe and Mocha hide paw prints on darker ones, and Camel, Burgundy and Ocean Blue add warmth and color in fall and winter. Velvet changes shade a little as the light catches the pile, so each color looks richer in person.
Fitting it
Lay the cover over the seat with the long side running arm to arm. Tuck the back edge down between the seat and the back cushions, then let the front fall over the edge. For back cushions or arms, add separate pieces in the same color.
Washing and care
Remove loose fur first, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Skip bleach and fabric softener, which flatten the pile and wear down the non-slip back. Hang it to dry or tumble dry on low, and brush the pile with your hand once it's dry.
