A tight, textured weave
Chenille is woven from tufted yarn, and this cover uses it in a dense, tweed-like weave with flecks of a second color. The surface is tight and nubby, so claws catch on it less than on a loose knit, and fur sits on top where a lint roller lifts it off. The weave hides everyday marks and gives the cover the look of real upholstery rather than a blanket thrown over the sofa.
A plain border band runs around the edge, and the back has a non-slip finish so the cover stays in place on the seat.

Choose the width for your seat depth plus about 6 in (15 cm): 28 in (70 cm) for most seats, 35 in (90 cm) for deep seats and 43 in (110 cm) for very deep seats or to cover a seat and its back cushion together. Then choose the length closest to your seat width, arm to arm. With 16 sizes, you can also put together a whole sofa: a cover for the seat, another for the back and two small ones for the arms.
Colors
Four colors: Taupe, Blue Gray, Charcoal and Sage Green. Each has a flecked, two-tone look that hides fur and paw prints between washes. Taupe warms up a gray or white sofa, Blue Gray and Charcoal suit cool, modern rooms, and Sage Green looks fresh with wood and plants.
Fitting it
Lay the cover over the seat with the long side running arm to arm. Tuck the back edge down between the seat and the back cushions, then smooth it forward and let the rest fall over the front edge. For back cushions, drape a second piece over the top of the back and tuck it in at the seat.
Washing and care
Remove loose fur with a lint roller or a shake outside, then machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Skip bleach and fabric softener. Hang it to dry or tumble dry on low. Chenille can drop a few loose fibers in the first wash; after that it settles.

Does chenille hold up to dog claws?
This chenille is woven tightly, so claws catch on it less than on loose knits or long piles. A determined digger can still pull a loop, so trim nails help any cover last longer.
Which size should I choose for a deep sofa?
Measure the depth of the seat and add about 6 in (15 cm). If that comes to more than about 30 in (76 cm), choose a 35 in (90 cm) width, and for very deep seats choose 43 in (110 cm).
Can I cover the whole sofa?
Yes. Use one long piece across the seat, a second piece over the back cushions and a small one over each arm, such as 28 x 28 in (70 x 70 cm).
Is it waterproof?
No. It's a woven chenille without a water-resistant layer, so large spills can soak through. For accidents and wet paws, choose the Water-Resistant Sofa Protector.
